From CDTC Chair Mike Schell:

Dear Friends,

We are 41 days from Mid-Term Election Day in the United States -- and counting. I am counting on a wave -- a blue wave. Too optimistic? Maybe, but the news does seem to get worse every week, every day for Trump and his wave of corruption, cruelty, thievery and grift. Yesterday, I encountered two articles which together paint the picture of where I think we are today. And which strongly indicate the trend toward where we will be on November 3.

The first is an interesting marriage of history -- Ayn Rand -- and current affairs (pun intended) -- Donald Trump. To quote an introductory comment:
Back in 2015, Donald Trump told USA Today’s Kirsten Powers that his favorite book was Ayn Rand’s raped-girl-decides-she-likes-it novel, “The Fountainhead.”
“It relates to business, beauty, life and inner emotions,” he told Powers. “That book relates to … everything.”
The story appears here: The Hartmann Report (Sept. 21) -- Did Ayn Rand Plant the Ideological Seed That Trumpism is Harvesting Today? It's fascinating. Read it and see.
And then there is the current state of politics in the U.S. today. Here's a very intersting and encouraging summary. Comprehensive. The news is good for us, bad for them. Enjoy.
Dean Blundell (Sept. 21) -- 43 Days Out, MAGA Is Losing Everywhere. Even Kansas. Here's Every Number Behind the Collapse. ENJOY IT.
Sunny Side Up.
Mike
